This is the first of three painting I painted of this trunk.
I discovered this scene when hiking off the trails.
I didn't realize how powerful the image was until I saw it on my computer.
I felt as if the trunk beckoned me to be the subject.
This painting was sold to Platte National Bank in Estes Park before I ever exhibited it.
